Executive VP of Business Development, Donny Odom, served as a CHOC Golf Planning Committee member for the 10th Annual CHOC Golf Classic that took place on Monday, May 16th at Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Beach. For months, Donny, CHOC Personnel, Execs from McCarthy, Nevell Group, Berg Electric and other construction companies met via Zoom, once a month, to plan for a hugely successful golf event benefiting the CHOC Foundation. Together, they accomplished just that.
The tournament welcomed just shy of 300 golfers and sponsors, including a Murray Company foursome made up of Donny Odom, VP Virginia Brown, McCarthy’s Dave Alford and from Jacobs Engineering, Petra Lowe. The three respective companies are partnered together on the CHOC Southwest Tower project that’s now (slowly) underway. By the way, the team finished in 2nd place! Way to go, champs!
Admin Assistant Michele Madison and Director of Marketing Marta Martin distributed MC branded TaylorMade golf balls to each foursome that visited the MC booth on the North Course, Hole #2, along with other MC swag. Together, they served as Hole-In-One witnesses. The grand prize was a souped-up, decked-out Jeep Wrangler Sahara sponsored by OC Events. Although no one drove away with this new set of stylish off-roading wheels, someone from McCarthy Building Companies came within 18 inches of the hole. For just a few seconds – everyone held their breath. Better luck next time, golfers!
