Director of Labor Relations Tom Finell and General Superintendent Rick Jones were 2 of 580 guests who attended the UA Local 250 Apprenticeship Graduation Banquet on Saturday, October 29 at the Sheraton Park Hotel in Anaheim. The event celebrated the Graduating Class of 2022 of the Steamfitters and the Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Apprentice Program. Murray Company supported as a Platinum Level Sponsor.
Among the 52 graduates was Murray Company’s very own Jesus Corral of the Advanced Technologies Division who had two reasons to celebrate. Not only was he a proud member of the graduating class, he was also named “Apprentice of the Year”, continuing the legacy and following in the footsteps of Advanced Technologies Fabrication Manager Curt Spencer and General Superintendent Sam Cook who won this award in 2016 and 2001 respectively.
Administrative Assistant Lisa Rivera of UA Local 250 shares her congratulatory remarks:
“Congratulations on his accomplishments! Hurray for Murray Company employee Jesus Corral! He won the Apprentice of the Year award from California State Pipe Trades office for having the highest GPA for the spring 2022 graduation class.”

Jesus shares,
“I am honored to be presented with the Apprentice of the Year award. I am extremely grateful for all of the instructors and staff at Local 250 who helped me with completing this 5 years course and for all my fellow co-workers and mentors at Murray Company for giving me the opportunity and knowledge to grow in this industry.”
