Each year Murray Company’s SoCal and NorCal offices participate in a local Toy Drive during the holidays. We thank all our generous staff members who donated toys, many of which were dropped off during the respective holiday parties.
At the corporate office, City of Compton Fire Department Station 4 took delivery of toy donations on Santa’s behalf last week and had a chance to mingle with some of the main office staff, including President/CEO Jim DeFlavio, who welcomed the firemen and thanked them for the work they do in our community. Additionally – fun fact – one of our connections at Station 4 is A/P Processor Sally Newt whose husband is a fireman there.
HR Coordinator RaeLynn Galindo reflects,
It was wonderful meeting the captain of the fire truck, Waland Davis. Battalion Chief Louie Hernandez said the reality is such that donations are really needed in Compton. Often times, the only presents or gifts many families will receive are from the fire department from these types of donations
Typically, the station keeps toys on their fire engine and passes them out during calls or through Spark of Love, an organization made up of multiple fire agencies that collects toys and distributes them throughout communities.
Thank You All For Helping Murray Company Deliver Some Christmas Magic!
