The women’s organization, WiOPS | Women in Construction Operations | (SoCal Chapter) celebrated its 10 Year Anniversary on Wednesday, January 25th and boy did they come out with a sparkle and a bang! Murray Company has been both directly and indirectly involved with WiOPS since its inception a decade ago. In fact, we hosted the 1st and 5th anniversary events at the John W. Odom Training Center but due to this milestone event far exceeding MC’s capacity, another venue had to be secured.
The Daltile Showroom in Anaheim was host to this industry event that attracted over 350 guests including general contractors, subs and various third-party companies supporting the construction industry. Four (4) tasty food trucks fed the crowd, MC sponsored water bottles kept everyone hydrated and a specialty turquoise margarita served as the perfect cocktail with which to raise a toast (in a MC branded cup, of course!).

Director of Marketing Marta Martin and Admin Assistant Michele Madison served on the event planning committee which started coordinating over 6 months ago. Meanwhile, Marketing Assistant Kristen Steffey created the “WiOPS | Be Legendary | Celebrating 10 Years” logo, which expanded on the original WiOPS logo Kristen designed a decade ago. This logo has since made quite the impact as WiOPS’ reach and membership continue to grow not just within the CA’s SoCal and NorCal regions, but to the east coast too. A New York and Baltimore Chapter are currently in the works!
