Director of Engineering William Hearon M.B.A, P.E. DBIA and Project Engineer Aniket Singh, both USC Alumni, met with a classroom full USC Engineering students on Wednesday, 11/1 @ 6:30 PM on campus. All of these students are members of the USC CMAA – USC Student Construction Management Association of America, essentially a “student chapter constructing communities, building leaders”. Via this Info Session, the presenter’s goal was to educate the future grads about a company like Murray Company and shed light on the rewarding careers offered with a premier specialty subcontractor.
The two presenters alternated topics from MC’s capabilities and services, to positions offered across various departments and the iconic projects MC has been, and is, involved with. On that list were Intuit Dome, Crypto.Com Arena, USC Coliseum and the Harry Potter ride at Universal, to name a few. They discussed our safety culture and explained the some the importance of a low EMR. After the presentation, a Q & A sesh followed with additional one-on-one inquiries posed by students whose interests were peaked.
As a side note, William is offering his time and resources in assisting the USC Team that’s slated to participate in the “Commercial” problem that Murray Company is sponsoring at the ASC Student Competition in Reno, NV. More coverage on that in February 2024!
