On Saturday, May 18th Children’s Hospital Orange County hosted its 15th Annual CHOC Gala at The Grove of Anaheim. Representing Murray Company and the fabulous work we do at this local children’s hospital were President/CEO Jim DeFlavio, Senior Project Accountant Olivia Field, Vice President Virginia Brown, PX Jay Madison, PM Rosemarie Edquid, Director of Marketing Marta Martin and Administrative Assistant Michele Madison with special table guests, McCarthy’s VP Sarah Carr and McCarthy’s Jaime Schrader. In fact, because Murray Company was contracted by McCarthy Building Companies to provide the plumbing and HVAC scopes for the current CHOC Southwest Tower project (and several past projects at CHOC as well), the Murray Company group bumped into many members from McCarthy’s project team at the neighboring table.
The evening included sincere thank you’s and welcomes by the leaders of CHOC and the CHOC Foundation. Red carpet guests tuned into a heartfelt message from CHOC’s CEO, Kimberly Cripe (above). A live auction took place generating a tremendous monetary response from the audience and personal stories were shared by a few of CHOC’s young patients, tugging at the heartstrings of over 1,000 generous guests and CHOC supporters. The donations collected this evening truly transform the health and well-being of CHOC’s patients and have a massive impact. According to our sources, over $5.6M was raised at this year’s Gala and Murray Company proudly played its part in the evening’s philanthropic success.
The night concluded with a couple musical performances including a Special Benefit Performance by Gunnar and the Evening Headliner was the one and only, Orange County born and raised, Gwen Stefani!
