Team Murray Company represented at the Swinerton Foundation 2023 San Diego Swinvitational Golf Tournament on Monday, September 25th and supported as a Gold Sponsor. The tournament was held at Country Club-Ranch Bernardo in San Diego and benefited the SkillsUSA program at Montecito High School.
Murray Company’s foursome was comprised of San Diego’s HVAC Preconstruction Lead Kevin Grogg, Preconstruction Manager Aaron Novotny, corporate’s Director of Engineering William Hearon, MBA, P.E., DBIA and Swinerton’s Project Manager Stephanie Foy who balanced out the group. Although the team didn’t win, place nor show, they enjoyed their time together on the greens chatting about the local projects Murray Company and Swinerton are partnered on including the San Diego Airport Terminal 1 Parking Plaza project, the Chase Sapphire Lounge San Diego Airport and Illumina Jigsaw, a 2,100 SQ design-build lab remodel which includes lab valves and fan coils.

The Swinerton Foundation’s Swinvitational Golf Tournament is back in San Diego! Join us at The Country Club of Rancho Bernardo on September 25. This is a great opportunity to play golf and network with others in the AEC industry. The event is being held to raise funds for and on behalf of The Swinerton Foundation, which supports the construction workforce of the future through education and workforce development programs.
Our partnership with the SkillsUSA program at Montecito High School is one way in which we educate the next generation of construction leaders. Since 2020, we have mentored and advised students in the SkillsUSA carpentry program and assisted students in gaining employment in the industry.
