Last year, Murray Company ranked #90 on EMR’s list of Top 600 Specialty Contractors. This year we have climbed our way to the #75 spot! In the Top 50 Mechanical Contractors, we ranked #14, moving up 9 spots from 2017.
The Engineering News Record recently unveiled the Top 600 Specialty Contractors following a survey of subcontractors and specialty trade contractors across the country. We leaped from #90 to #75. Congratulations to Murray Company!

Considering the LA/OC Building Trades Council consists of 48 local laborers unions and district councils in 14 Trades, the Labor Day Edition of this monthly publication is a popular one. We seized the opportunity to place a half page ad in the August Issue.
It’s no surprise that the USC Memorial Coliseum Topping Out Ceremony made it on the front page of the Labor Day Edition of the Building Trades News. Fox News, ABC7 News and Murray Company were there to document this historic day.
Our own Cory Woods, Tony Holodnak, Preston Riehl, Ralph Dvorsky and seven other plumbers and fitters from UA Local 761 competed amongst sixteen other union local teams at the LA/OC Building and Construction Trades 14th Annual Softball Tournament. In Jan ’18 CPMCA partnered with USC on the formation of a Student Chapter in the Construction Mgt Dept. The Chapter was officially introduced at the MCAA Convention in March which was attended by USC grad and our new-hire, Kathy Deng!

The March Edition of the “Building Trades News” features our awesome advertisement and an article, “Women in Construction Week” featuring Shaabini Alford. You may recall, March 5-9 was WIC week. We actively applauded women in construction.
The all-union USC Renovation project is well underway with a PLA with the LA/OC Building and Construction Trades Council, with local hire and outreach to veterans through the Helmets to Hardhats program. Read more here.
