March Madness & Pi Day; Four (4) Babies Join the Murray Company Extended Family

The storks were working overtime in the month of March, flying over SoCal, carrying a few bundles of joy.  Coincidentally, a few Murray Company staff members were there with open arms, ready to receive these precious deliveries.

On March 14th, Pi (π) Day, three itsy-bitsy babies were added to the employee-future-recruits roster, and one little one arrived three days later.  Meet them here!

Congratulations to Ben Cheffers & Hailey who welcomed their 3rd baby girl:
Name: Poppy Anne Cheffers
Date of Birth: 3/14
Mom’s name: Hailey
Weight: 7lb 6 oz
Height: 20.25”
# of child(ren): 3 girls
Fun fact: 3/14 was also Ben’s grandmother’s and great-grandmother’s birthday making 3/14 a special date for their family.

Interesting facts about Pi (π) Day:

Pi Day, celebrated annually on March 14th, commemorates the mathematical constant pi (π), which is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, and also happens to be Albert Einstein’s birthday. 

Here are three facts about Pi Day:

  • Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14), which corresponds to the first three digits of pi (3.14). 
  • Pi Day was founded in 1988 by physicist Larry Shaw: at the San Francisco Exploratorium, where he was known as the “Prince of Pi”. 
  • Pi Day coincides with Albert Einstein’s birthday.
