Murray Company was a proud supporter of the 22nd Annual Grape Expectations Gala which took place on September 28th at the Billie Jean King Main Library in Long Beach. We received this special invitation from our partners at Clark Construction, whom Murray Company partnered with a few years ago delivering the Long Beach Civic Center project. As a reminder, our teams performed the plumbing and site utilities scopes of work on this design-assist project for a new 274,000 SF, 11-story city hall, a large Port of Long Beach headquarters and 92,000 SF library.
With 425 generous and philanthropic guests in attendance, this year’s gala raised around $560,000 which benefited the Long Beach Public Library Foundation. One of the event honorees, and the inspiration for Murray Company’s sponsorship, was Mr. Carlos Gonzalez, PE of Clark Construction. Mr. Gonzalez was presented with the Library Leadership Award.
Representing Murray Company in support of Mr. Gonzalez were Vice President Virginia Brown, Chairman/CEO Jim DeFlavio, Senior Project Manager Leo Columbus and Senior Preconstruction Director Andy Johnson who seized the opportunity to snap this photo:
