The decorations are down and the candy is mostly gone, but safety at Murray Company never goes back in the box.
Halloween reminded us that even our favorite characters could use a safety briefing. The witch is flying a broomstick with no pre-use inspection. John Wick is always three moves ahead, but that suit would not pass a PPE check. Captain Kirk beams into the unknown with no hazard assessment… Mario is a fellow plumber, but diving into pipes of unknown contents with no confined space permit is not how we do things at Murray Company. We also prefer our coins from payroll, not out of a block.
Every one of them is fictional, and none has a safety program. Murray Company does, and it comes down to how our people treat each other and the tasks they perform in the office, in the field, and every space in between. We plan the work, inspect our gear, wear our PPE, and look out for one another. We speak up when something does not look right, because everyone on every project deserves to go home the way they arrived.
That is true in October, and it is true in March, July, and every day in between. Safety is not a seasonal event at Murray Company. It is who we are 24/7.
And a big shout out to all who dressed up and got into the spirit of this holiday!

We hope you had a safe and happy Halloween!
