Our goal is to further your understanding of how our employee ownership model works and share why it makes Murray Company the best Mechanical Contractor in the West. Murray Company was represented on Capitol Hill by CFO Alvin Aeschlimann, Chairman Emeritus Rick Stafford and Project Accounting Controller Chris Gardner who joined ESCA, the lobbying arm which fights to support S Corporation ESOP’s.
We lassoed in 200+ clients, vendors and special guests to the 4th Annual Murray Company Client Appreciation and Open House! The country/western themed event featured food trucks, a live band, and great company all around!
An army of students came knocking at the Fab Shop asking, “What goes on behind these doors?”. So we rolled up our sleeves, put on our PPE and showed them a thing or two about orbital welding, beveling pipe, brazing a T-drill and more!
Congratulations Chris and Sheri Gardner on your precious baby boy, Troy Lee Gardner, born June 4th! He’ll be joining the MC team as Dad’s little helper in accounting before you know it!
Highlights of this trip included meeting with Congresswoman Grace Napolitano and Congressman Steve Knight from Palmdale with another ESCA member from Pavement Recycling (also an ESOP). We visited Chris’s Congressman, Ken Calvert’s office, who had recently signed (with our encouragement and lobbying efforts) into legislation in Congress an act that would preserve “S” ESOPs!
