After three years away from the dance floor, Murray Company SoCal hosted the highly anticipated Holiday Party at the Hyatt Regency in Long Beach. Over 500 employees from the office/field, including the San Diego and Arizona branches, along with their +1’s, attended this festive event.
The party started at 6:30 PM with a social hour and a fun photo booth to jumpstart the holiday spirit. As ballroom doors opened, guests took their seats while President/CEO Jim DeFlavio opened with welcoming remarks, thanks to all, and the presentation of Longevity Awards for employees celebrating 10 to 40 years of tenure. Chairman Kevan Steffey also participated in this segment, sharing personal stories with some of the more tenured recipients. Special guests included aforementioned Kevan and Rita Steffey and Chairman John Odom with wife, Karen.
It was a terrific evening of raising a toast to the times that have passed and those to come for Murray Company. The dance floor was packed with plenty of dancers showing off their cool dance moves to music played by the live band – the Spazmatics – as they entertained across several decades pf billboard hits. Everyone seemed to radiate a sense of gratitude this holiday season, especially after a 3-year break. We came together, in one space, as one company, to celebrate our shared interest, and the belief that Santa is as real as our appreciation for one another.
