2nd Annual Murray Company San Diego Golf Tournament Raises $10,000 for City of Hope in Honor of Kevan J. Steffey

2nd Annual Murray Company San Diego Golf Tournament Raises $10,000 for City of Hope in Honor of Kevan J. Steffey

The 2nd Annual Murray Company Golf Tournament was held on Friday, May 31st at Maderas Golf Club in San Diego and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day! Volunteers from the San Diego branch and corporate arrived at 6:30 AM to start setting up for the 8:30 AM check-in time and 10:00 AM shotgun start. Golfers were greeted with smiling Murray Company faces and an awesome line up of giveaways from golf balls, custom golf gloves, polos and more.  Around the corner from the giveaway zone, private label custom cigars were handed out to golfers, which paired nicely with the Bloody Mary Bar and hot breakfast burritos. The goal is to ensure our clients and guests a 5-star experience.

Kristen Steffey and Michele Madison sold raffle tickets with proceeds benefitting City of Hope and Dr. Lily Lau Lai’s Research Program in honor of Murray Company’s late Kevan J. Steffey who was a big supporter of this hospital, and the outstanding work Dr. Lily’s program does for early cancer detection.

We are grateful for the generous sponsors who supported this tournament and to those who participated with interactive on-course activities.  As a token of appreciation, each sponsor received a beautiful leather bag embossed with the Murray Company logo with an interior lining of MC logos as well. These were a hit!

Through the sale of the $100 Player’s Package during the online registration process, sponsorships sold and raffle ticket sales, $10,000 was raised towards City of Hope!   In fact, the NorCal Branch Tournament in August and the SoCal Tournament in September will raise funds for this same worthy cause.
