On January 17, 2025, the San Diego Branch team along with special guest Chairman/CEO, Jim DeFlavio, took Hank Woodward out for a retirement lunch. That day was bittersweet as Hank and his colleagues reflected on a 13-year journey together. They traveled down memory lane remembering the good times, the challenging times and all the countless wins and laughter along the way.
Hank’s journey with Murray Company started in 2012. He was brough on board and tasked with opening a branch in San Diego to pursue Advanced Tech work. Along with Tom Brown, he opened the San Diego office in 2013 and has served as Branch Manager and Project Executive since then. Over the years, Hank built solid relationships with Genentech, Pacira and multiple GC’s while pursuing work primarily in the Life Sciences sector. Process piping and all things pharma were his jam.
When the Pharma work was slow, Hank refocused and redirected his skills to build successful projects at SDSU, Westfield Mall and the Viejas Casino.
He was respected by Murray Company’s clients and admired for his knowledge and passion. His teammates enjoyed Hank’s company and the things that made him unique like his spontaneous singing and Ukulele playing at client dinners both in Spanish and English. His story telling captivated audiences and his love of golf was no secret.
Murray Company sincerely thanks Hank for his outstanding service and contributions. We wish Hank the most rewarding, relaxing, sunny and golf-filled retirement in his hometown of San Diego!
