Murray Company Talent Acquisition & Project Team Represent at the Pierce College Career Fair

Murray Company Talent Acquisition & Project Team Represent at the Pierce College Career Fair

McCarthy Building Companies hosted a Career Fair in coordination with the LA Community College District and Pierce College in San Fernando Valley late May.   McCarthy’s PM on the Pierce College project, Luke Langbehn, explained to Murray Company’s Senior PM, Steve Molina,  “This will be a great opportunity for students to learn more about careers in our field—and potentially become employees.”

It should be noted that Murray Company is performing the site utilities scope on this project which includes providing the main domestic water, sanitary system, fire water, and storm drain systems to accommodate the new LACCD Pierce College Academic East Building.

In response to this invitation, Steve reached out to MC’s Talent Acquisition Team for support.  Talent Acquisition Partner, Hector Lujan, Jr., Steve Molina and the Underground Department’s  Project Engineer JD Lopez represented Murray Company’s booth at this event.

Hector reflects, “This event was an incredible opportunity to build promising relationships with generational talent, MC3’s program leadership, and fellow industry partners. It was invigorating to meet so many motivated students who are highly interested in the trades and eager to kickstart their careers. I am honored to have been able to represent Murray Company in educating the participants in the work that we do and why we’re proud to do it.”

McCarthy expressed their gratitude to all who attended:

“On behalf of our team, I would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who attended the Career Fair last Friday. Your presence, enthusiasm, and engagement played a pivotal role in making the event a success. Your participation not only enriched the experience for all involved but also underscored the importance of fostering meaningful connections between students and professionals.

We hope the Career Fair provided valuable opportunities for both the students and your team, especially if you’re considering new hires in the craft. If you have any updates regarding potential hires from the event, please let us know. We’d be delighted to share this exciting news with our client.

Thank you once again for your time and contribution. We look forward to the possibility of future collaborations.

Lynn Yan | Assistant Project Manager | McCarthy Building Companies, Inc.”
