This was Murray Company’s first time applying for the AGC of California’s safety award and to our great honor and no surprise, Murray Company took 1st place in the “Specialty Division Over 1 Million Worker Hours” category! This is a tremendous accomplishment that the entire company can be proud of.
Corporate Safety Director Justin Myburg and General Superintendent James Adamson accepted this award in person at the 38th Annual Construction Safety Excellence Awards at the Grand Hyatt at Indian Wells on Thursday, October 9th. The award was accepted on behalf of every Murray Company team member whose dedication and discipline make safety a daily priority. A few days prior to the winners being announced, James and Justin had presented Murray Company’s safety program to a panel of 4 judges representing various constructions firms.
Justin Myburg reflects, “When I asked James to accompany to the end of the day interview at 4:30 PM in Palm Springs, without hesitation, James agreed. He was really a great partner talking through our program seamlessly to the judges.”
To which James responded,
