Late November, Murray Company NorCal was approached by Hilti North America (a family-owned company that develops, manufactures, and sells products and services for the construction, manufacturing, energy, and building maintenance industries) with a unique and exciting marketing opportunity; to partner on a content creation campaign that Hilti will be using in their global marketing campaign. One company brought its tools while the other, yours truly, brought the manpower in filming a promotional/demo video of several Hilti products being used for their intended application. The 2-day shoot was held on Wednesday, 11/20 and Thursday, 11/21 at the 580 Dubuque Project with client IGHQ.
It is important to note that one of the world’s largest tool distributors hand-selected and entrusted Murray Company to demonstrate the safe and proper use of their sophisticated tools for this marketing campaign. The invitation to feature some of the industry’s most skilled and experienced craftsmen was an honor for Murray Company and a huge testament to our reputation and safety practices.
The preparation for this video shoot required careful planning and coordination by both parties. Spearheading this project and managing the recruiting effort for Murray Company was Project Manager Ryan Lopes, Plumbing Superintendent Ethan Brown, and Foreman Mark Fowler, with the overseeing eye of Executive VP Chad Johnston.
Bennett (Ben) Meyers, Hilti’s Brand & Communications | Sr. Mgr. Media Communications, was the point of contact who outlined the program and the specific tools to be featured. As with any serious Hollywood production, Murray Company’s cast and crew were asked to sign a “Talent Release Form.” Speaking of talent, Murray Company brought the best of the best including Ethan Brown (Plumbing Superintendent), Patrick Johnson (Sheetmetal Superintendent), Mark Fowler (General Foreman), Jasen Gibson (Foreman) and Daniel Verdesoto (Journeyman). Although these skilled craftsmen were selected for the part, many others would have made the cut, even without an audition.

Overall, the production was a huge success, and everyone involved was pleased with how the content was gathered. Hilti will be featuring this content in their marketing materials as soon as Q1 2025 so be on the lookout for that and we will too!
