Awarded Project: 1233 South Grand Residences

The proposed 24-story building at 1233 S. Grand Avenue, known as the “Grand Residences,” consists of 161 condominium units and 2,000 SF of retail space. With 163,891 SF of cumulative floor area – spread over 8,862 SF floor plates – the building will rise to an architectural peak of 240 feet above street level. Plans also call for a total of six levels of parking – two subterranean and four above-grade.

Academy Museum of Motion Pictures

As of September 2016, the foundation was being poured for the giant orbed-shaped theater that will be attached to the rear of the old May Company building. Built in 1939, the Streamline Modern building with its gold tower is being restored to house the museum’s exhibits, which will include the full-scale model of the 1975 Jaws shark and approximately 62,000 pieces of production art.

Awarded Project: Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park | Parking Structure

Construction of a multi-level parking structure of approximately 332,953 sq. ft. accommodating approximately 801 parking spaces. The new parking structure expansion will be adjacent to the existing parking structure with connecting circulation access. The structure builds over an existing LA County Flood Control Easement.

Academy Square Mixed Use & Residential Tower

Construction of the Academy, is seeking LEED Gold certification and is expected to occur over 27 months beginning in the third quarter of 2016 and concluding in late 2018 or early 2019.
The project involves the demolition of the existing buildings and construction of an approximately 498,599-square-foot mixed-use project containing offices, residences, and retail/restaurant space with associated parking. The project includes approx.233,665 square feet of office, and 49,135 square feet of retail/restaurant land uses in three buildings up to five stories in height. The project also includes an approx. 215,799-square-foot, 23-story residential tower containing up to 250 residential units. The residential portion of the project would also include a gym, a pool, public and private open space, and 1,349 subterranean automobile parking spaces and 398 bicycle parking spaces.

Kaiser Permanente Ventura, Market MOB

This LEED Gold targeted MOB broke ground on September 23, 2016. A 57,000 square foot medical office building serving Ventura County is located on Market Street and Valentine Street in Ventura, will be a full-service medical office building expected to open in the first quarter of 2018.

Spruce Goose Repurposed Hangar for Google Office

Google, outgrowing its 100,000 square feet of space in Venice, expanding into tech hub, Playa Vista. The tech company has signed a new lease for this enormous airplane hangar that’s three times the size of its Venice workspace. The 319,000-square-foot hangar is where Howard Hughes assembled the giant wooden seaplane called the Spruce Goose. The 1943 hangar is part of Ratkovich’s Hercules Campus complex.

Awarded Project: Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum

USC’s renovation and restore plans to the Coliseum will estimate $270 million will begin after the 2017 Trojan football season and will be completed for the 2019 home opener.
Among the planned renovations is the building of a new structure on the south side of the stadium that will house suites, loge boxes and club seats, topped by a new press box. Other renovations include replacing every seat in the stadium, adding aisles and increasing leg room, installing new video screens and lighting, adding new concession stands and upgrading concourses, as well as restoring the iconic peristyle.

Kaiser Permanente MOB Murrieta

This Medical Office Building will accommodate 43 Provider offices: comprised of six intermediate care services (ICS); 12 primary care providers; and 25 specialty care providers.
The work includes a two room gastroenterology procedure suite, conference center, laboratory, imaging, and pharmacy services. Total of interior improvements is approximately 77,942-sf with an estimated 2,058-sf of shelled space. On site work includes excavating, grading, backfill, underground utilities, surface parking for approximately 400 spaces including ADA stalls, and landscaping. Building construction will be tilt-up panels with structural steel framing and sectionalized exterior enhancements of painted concrete panels, stone veneer, and glass walls. Project is designed to achieve LEED Silver certification.

Awarded Project: Century Plaza Hotel & Residences

A major update and expansion for Century City’s Century Plaza Hotel. Work began in March 2016. The project will remodel the 1966 hotel, scale down the number of rooms to 394 from 726 and add 63 new residences. But that’s just the start: developer Next Century associates will also add two 46-story residential towers behind the hotel, an open-air lobby, public plazas and fountains, and a massive outdoor garden that extends more than two acres. The garden will be flanked by 100,000 square feet of restaurants and retail.

Awarded Project: Boardwalk Office Tower & Parking Structure

The Boardwalk, located in the Irvine Business Complex, reinvents a new class of office space. The development is situated on a 7.5-acre lot and includes two, nine-story towers connected by four bridge-ways and open terraces. The buildings themselves offer 545,000 square feet of premier office space with high ceilings and glass walls. Large 65,000 square foot floor plates include open office design, an employee lounge, communal conference rooms, fitness and wellness center, and 5,000 square feet of retail/restaurant space. Utilizing California’s year-round sunshine, two acres of covered gathering/meeting spaces, a covered outdoor amphitheater, idyllic pathways, and green spaces to refresh employees.

Awarded Project: Genentech P2 Downstream…

We are pleased to announce we have been awarded the Genentech Oceanside P2 Downstream Processing Expansion project. Our High Purity Process Piping Scope will include modifications on all 3 floors and most classified suites of the manufacturing building and upgrades to existing Utility Systems in support. Starting in Early August 2015 the scheduled completion is for August of 2016 with anticipated total revenue of $24 Million.
